Image Scan, Iscan in short, is an image acquisition software running on the Linux operating system. Iscan supports many scanners and all in one printer models from Epson / Seiko. The software includes proprietary drivers needed by some supported scanners to work. Avasys Corporation first, then Epson have been providing both source code and binary packages for some time through their download pages and some distributions official package repositories. Packages are distributed in the deb or rpm format, but not the tgz or txz ones used by the Slackware Linux distribution. Being both a Slackware user and the owner of a USB Perfection v200 Photo scanner I have been building packages for that distro for the past years.

This page collects all of the articles about building, installing, configuring and using Image Scan with Slackware Linux I wrote in the past. All of the SlackBuild scripts needed to build packages supported by the Slackware package manager are provided too. An up to date script release can be downloaded form the more recent article available at the bottom of the page.
